BATHU CELEBRATES INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY IN THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY DURING NATIONAL PRIDE MONTH
Bathu, a trailblazer and Africa’s premium sneaker brand is committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity and is excited to announce its celebration in honour of Pride Month this October. The brand’s mission is to emphasise the value of accepting one’s real self and to showcase the diverse range of identities found within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Starting on 05 October, Bathu will kick off its celebration at Ethos, Rosebank, with a walk your journey event aimed at fostering unity and understanding. The event will provide a platform for open discussions, reflections, and the sharing of experiences that empower individuals to be true to themselves.
Continuing the festivities, Bathu will host a second event on the 19th of October in Cape Town, further emphasizing the brand’s commitment to spreading awareness and creating a safe and inclusive space for all. This event will feature special guest Lasizwe, a prominent LGBTQIA+ advocate, who will engage in meaningful dialogues.

Bathu’s luncheon with Lasizwe will not only be a celebration, but they will discuss the following issues to raise awareness :

- Advocate for policies that support LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity within Bathu, organisations, and beyond.
- Showcase stories of LGBTQ+ individuals within our organisation, highlighting their experiences and contributions to the workplace.
